Hi everybody, not many people knew Alix, BMW2009, but I'm posting this anyways. Alix died today (April 3, 2009) at 2:00 A.M. Its said that he didn't take his medicine for multiple sclerosis. The last time I heard from Alix was Monday March 30. He texted me to say that he was home from work. I was sleeping so I didn't reply, I replied when I woke up and never got a reply, so later that night I called, no answer, texted hom and told him to call me, no answer, called the next morning before he would have left for work, no answer, called again, texted still no answer. Finally I recieved a text message taht said "who is this?" I replied, "brandi." basically the rest of the conversation consisted of somebody telling me that they were Alix'x sister and that he was very sick. He just recently went through a hard break up, and was having trouble moving on. I thought he was doing better, he told me he was doing better. He seemed fine the last time we talked. I asked what was wrong with Alix, his sister said that hw had ms and didn't take his meds, he couldn't talk, move, nor did he remember anyone. I asked her to keep me informed, told her to hug him for me and tell him everything would be ok. she said she would. When she spoke with the doctor, she told me that there was nothing the doctors could do but wait, and he wasn't going to get any better. (this happened last night.-) She sent me a heartbreaking text message that said "ok I don't think my brother will make it till tommorrow and i hate to say that." This morning at about 9:00 I opened a text message from her saying: "Hi Brandi. Alix passed away at 2:00 A.M. and I hugged him for you" It broke my heart to see that message. If any of you know Alix, or have anything you would like to say to his sister or family, feel free to leave me a P.M. and if anyone finds the obituary, please post it here.
R.I.P. Alix

P.S. if you have any questions feel free to leave me a PM.

it's always ashame when a zoner is lost, after our conversation today i took the liberty of searching for his profile so i could try and get some more info on him.

i just wish i took the time to talk to him, he was not even a member for that long.

r.i.p, alex

I don't know the acronyms you're using, I'm not a texter much, but omg. I agree with Dan. I mean, we've lost 3 in a year. I suppose though people die a lot and in a close community like the Zone you just hear about it more, and it really hits you when you see their friends be able to be so resilient and strong about it, and then you see that their friend just died and somehow, it makes it more real then just seeing some impersonal little notice about it.

My sincere condolences go out to his loved ones.
Due to having never heard of him and not knowing a thing about him, I've nothing of substance to add. And for that I apologize.
R.I.P, Alex.

Daniel, it isnt' text speak. R.I.P means rest in peace mate.

I too didnt' know him. In fact the only word he ever spoke to me was, bizarrely, a word of greeting in Arabic, probably owing to my references to my learning the language in my then profile. Nevertheless, the loss of a life is always a terrible thing, so my thoughts go out to those who loved and cared for him. May he rest well.

I'm retarded. The R.I.P info was meant for Iyana, not Daniel. Going now...

My sincere condolences also go out to his loved ones, as stated in a previous post.

I didn't know him at all, but it's still horrible to think of what has haappend. The only thing I can say is R.I.P, and that I too send my condolences to his family.

yeah. I didn't know him either. but others did, and I wouldn't dout he made alot of friends on here.
like I said before, it just makes you think. You have all of your friends, but it's easy to lose them. we never know when it'll happen. years, months, days, minutes, seconds? it could come at any given moment. that's why I cherish the moments I have with all of my friends, because you never know when your time is up...

I, like some others on here, did not personally know him. Irregardless, I agree with Ray's post above that life can be very fragile.
R.I.P. Alex.
